Based on the proprietary technology to manufacture bio-absorbable polymer, Samyang Holdings Corporation was the first in Korea and the third in the world to develop its own synthetic absorbable PGA surgical suture. Samyang is now the top surgical suture manufacturing company and exports its goods to the global market including the US., Europe, Japan, and China with continuous investment on R&D and global quality system.

Samyang also developed absorbable barbed suture and antibacterial suture for the first time in Korea and it is optimized for MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery). It is steadily expanding business in the surgical suture market for finished products.

Samyang succeeded in developing ORC (Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose) Technology approved by the US FDA. With this technology, Samyang manufactures various medical devices for surgery with Hemostatic agent and anti-adhesion agent. With the biodegradable technology that Samyang has, we continue to invest in development of new medical devices.
